Job Description: 

Shambhala Music Festival is now seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to start May 1, and work through until the end of the festival. You will be responsible for coordinating assigned teams of volunteers by hiring, scheduling, and communicating with crew members. Individuals who are eligible for funding or internships will be given priority. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist HR department with communications for volunteers on assigned teams
  • Assist with the development and organization of training materials for preshow and showtime crew
  • Interview all new potential volunteers either by phone or Skype
  • Liaise with Team Leaders and Managers to approve applicants and assign individuals onto work teams within appropriate timeframes
  • Liaise with Team Leaders and Managers to develop/refine schedules for all assigned volunteer teams
  • Maintain timely communications with applicants and personnel to offer outstanding administrative support

Job Requirements

Qualifications: 
  • Above average computer skills and experience using Microsoft Word and Excel, Google: Mail, Calendar, Documents, Basecamp and Shiftboard
  • Experience with office administration work
  • Experience with festivals and events an asset
