Venture through untouched wilderness in Northern BC.

Map of British Columbia

The Northern BC region is the biggest region in BC. It is surrounded by Alaska and the Yukon Territory to the North and stretches from an ancient archipelago of more than 150 islands in the Pacific Ocean in the west to Alberta in the east. Look up to the sky where the northern lights dance with the stars. Thick forests and incredible water sources span for miles as you drive hours between the next town in BC’s untouched wilderness.

Work

Work in BC’s untouched wilderness where you can:

  • Lead a fishing excursion at a remote fish camp in the pristine wilderness.
  • Paddle through angry rapids, or float along crystal clear rivers while developing friendships with visitors.
  • Prepare traditional aboriginal dishes while learning about aboriginal culture.
  • Offer snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, or dog-sledding adventures.

Lifestyle

The Northern BC region is a paddler’s paradise, whether kayaking down a river, boating on a lake or in the ocean, or whitewater rafting, there is every type of water sport. The north is known for its magnificent freshwater and saltwater fishing, and has a long winter great for snowmobiling, ice hockey, cross-country skiing or dog sledding. Many of the communities are full of heritage and ancestry, and rich in First Nation lineage.
