Vancouver, Coast & Mountains Regional Labour Market Study

The Vancouver, Coast & Mountains region has a workforce that is younger than other areas of the province, and with a declining youth population, there will not be enough supply to meet the demand. By 2020, it is anticipated that the region will have 71,314 job openings, with a labour shortage of 8,916. The food & beverage and recreation & entertainment sectors will be the hardest hit.
