HR Specialist, Interior Region

Maris moved to BC in 2017 with his family from Alberta, settling in West Kelowna. After graduating with a BA in Economics from the University of Alberta, he started his career in the construction industry before breaking into HR in 2010. With a Post Graduate HR Diploma, he brings a wealth of experience from every HR discipline. He has worked across Canada in Construction, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Warehousing and the Trucking sectors, including 7 years as an HR Manager. With vast experience in recruitment (domestic and international), he has been a champion of diversity at every stop in his career.

Away from work, he enjoys playing/coaching sports and spending time with his family exploring beautiful British Columbia.

Favorite part of BC: Loves exploring BC in every corner, from the Peace Country to Haida Gwaii, the Kootenays to the Sunshine Coast and everything in between.
