Workplace Psychological Health & Safety Coach

Valerie is excited to join go2HR to continue her mission to fight the stigma surrounding mental illness. She is passionate about supporting employers in expanding their safety culture through the implementation of tailored workplace Psychological Health & Safety programs and processes.

Valerie has a diverse background and skill set originating from 5+ years working in Australia as a Registered Nurse specializing in Critical Care areas. She furthered her education with a Counselling Diploma and continued her career as a Registered Professional Counsellor at her private practice for 5 years. Valerie then entered the Occupational Health & Safety space for a large organization as the Health and Safety Programs Deployment Manager supporting all 5 different business segments across Canada. Her role expanded to include mental health when she became a certified Psychological Health & Safety Advisor in 2019. She spent the following 3+ years leading the implementation of various mental health awareness campaigns, training programs and PH&S processes.

Seeing the positive ripple effects generated by the critical work we do in the workplace mental health space is what fuels her passion.
