The Importance of Customer Service Training

Customer Service Training involves teaching employees the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to increase customer satisfaction. Good training can have the following benefits:

  • Assist companies in building relationships and retaining customers;
  • Create word of mouth referrals, and mitigate negative situations;
  • Decrease call backs and returns;
  • Increase employee satisfaction and retention;
  • Build brand value for companies that provide excellent service to customers.

Since 1986, BC has been a leader in customer service training for the tourism and hospitality industry. Made-in-BC customized training has also been viewed as a strategic investment by the provincial government and crown corporations that deliver programs.
