There is no denying that COVID-19 has changed the way we live, work, study and play.
With so many businesses having been hard hit by the pandemic, countless employers have had to lay all or some of their staff off or let them go completely. Skilled individuals who are now unemployed are looking for work and perhaps considering new opportunities in other industries. Instead of moving to take classes at college/university campuses, post-secondary students are attending online (many have returned home). Some high school students are also attending classes online or in class, or both.
As our personal “bubbles” also remain small in efforts to ensure the safety of ourselves and others, we are also spending more time online; staying home instead of going back to school or travelling.
If you miss working and connecting with others in-person, have recently been displaced from another job or want to expand your skills and/or earn money while you study from home - then why not consider working in the BC tourism industry this winter?
The ski resorts and other tourism businesses around the province have been working hard to put new guidelines and practices in place to ensure the health and safety of employees and guests during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many employers are recruiting NOW for another busy winter season and there is a high demand for local employees!
Psst… Did you know? Some ski resorts also offer staff accommodations where you could live, work, study and play all in one place! Sound interesting? Click the links below to visit resort job postings directly:
Note: All of the above ski resorts are members of the Canada West Ski Areas Association (CWSAA).
