Simi joined the team in June 2024 with an Occupational Health and Safety Diploma from BCIT and a Health Sciences Degree from SFU. She is excited to contribute to the company’s efforts in connecting with employers and helping them foster safe and secure environments for employees and guests in the hospitality and tourism sector.

Prior to joining go2HR, Simi worked as a Health and Safety Coordinator at Champs Mushrooms where she assisted in developing and implementing training programs, conducted worksite inspections, and audited their safety program contributing to the company’s’ overall continuous improvement efforts. In 2023, Simi shifted to Calgary for the summer and worked as a Health and Safety Intern at Petronas Canada, an oil and gas company. There she gained knowledge about hazards within the petroleum industry and the importance of worksite management in ensuring compliance with safety regulations, safeguarding employee well-being, and enhancing operational efficiency.
