Food Safety: FOODSAFE Level 1

FOODSAFE is British Columbia’s food safety, handling and sanitation training. The Level 1 program equips food service workers with the knowledge and skills to apply proper food handling and preparation techniques and to follow appropriate safety measures to prevent food-borne illness.

 

NOTE: This is a correspondence course. The FOODSAFE Level 1 by Distance Education is the only learning option that doesn’t require internet access or classroom attendance, with exams available in ten languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, Farsi, French, Japanese, Korean, Punjabi, Spanish, and Tagalog).

Safer Spaces: Creating Sexual Harassment Free Workplaces in BC’s Tourism & Hospitality Industry Employers

This free online training course is intended for employers and supervisors. Leaders are fundamental to creating sexual harassment-free workplaces because they establish a safety culture and set the tone.

This NEW online training course is intended for workers in the tourism & hospitality industry. Educating workers is another important element in creating sexual harassment-free workplaces and helps to empower workers to know their rights and responsibilities. The course is free to those in the tourism & hospitality industry.

The course was developed to meet training needs in a COVID-19 environment. In still confidence amongst the general public to stay, dine, or shop at your local business.

 

We recommend modules 2, 4 and 5 when Provincial Health Orders are in transition or expired.
