Downtown Langley Business Association

About Us

The Downtown Langley Business Association (DLBA) was formed twenty-two years ago by a group of dedicated business owners all working towards the promoting of Downtown Langley.  In October of 1994, a bylaw was passed by City Council and the City of Langley Business Improvement Area (BIA) was formed.

As a non-profit association, the Downtown Langley Business Association employs one full time Executive Director and one full time Executive Assistant. The DLBA has an elected board of up to twelve Directors who each serve a minimum of a two year term.

The BIA is funded by an annual levy that is paid for by all commercially zoned properties within our area.  This levy is collected yearly by the City and entrusted to the BIA to operate programs and host events that benefit the members.  Our annual levy is used for Programs, Promotions and Special Events, Marketing and Advertising, Business Recruitment and Retention, Economic Development, Community Interaction, Social Media and introduced in May 2012, the ‘Get Fresh’ Program, which has resulted in over $320,000 in BIA business façade improvements.
