Mount Washington Alpine Resort is an exciting destination offering unique alpine experiences to its visitors all year round. During the winter Mount Washington Alpine Resort boasts the deepest all natural snow base in Canada. Skiers and snowboarders have 1,600 acres of terrain to choose from (20% easier, 35% intermediate, 45% expert) including 400 acres of advanced terrain on the backside of Mount Washington.
The slopes are serviced by 10 lifts including Canada’s first double offload quad accessing the Outback, a high speed six pack lift and a high speed quad. The Cross Country area offers 55 km (33 miles) of track set and skate groomed trails partially located within Strathcona Park. There is even lift service for parts of the Nordic trails. Snowshoe enthusiasts will enjoy the 20 km (12 mile) of trails ranging from gentle slopes to rolling hills. Looking for different kinds of fun? Check out the Snow Tubing Park – day or night! Whether you’re a hard-core snow fiend looking for a challenge or seeking a fun-packed day in the snow, Mount Washington Alpine Resort has it all. Our winter season runs from early December to mid April as conditions allow.
During the summer, scenic chairlift rides carry you to the summit of Mount Washington (1588 m) to take in the panoramic alpine to ocean view. Hike the bark mulch trails when you’ve reached the top or begin your excursion into Strathcona Park from the Paradise Meadows trailhead located by Mount Washington’s Raven Lodge. For those looking for some high flying fun, try our bungee trampoline that will bounce you high into the air in complete safety.
We offer an ever developing trail system for lift accessed downhill mountain biking with the Hawk High Speed Six Pack and the Eagle Express carrying you up the mountain with ease. Our summer season begins in mid June and mountain biking opens mid July as soon as trail conditions permit. Summer operations will run until September.
