Situated along the breathtaking Alaska Highway, approximately 230 km north of Fort St. John, BC, our ranch is owned by the Prophet River First Nation (PRFN). We take pride in blending cultural immersion, natural splendor, and unparalleled hospitality to curate an unforgettable experience for our guests.

Position Overview: The Board of Directors at Sikanni River Ranch is embarking on an exciting journey and is currently seeking seasoned and visionary individuals to join our esteemed team. As a Director, you will play a pivotal role in steering the establishment, strategic evolution, and long-term oversight of our flourishing business. We are seeking candidates with a demonstrable track record in business establishment and management, particularly within the dynamic hospitality and tourism sector. Your expertise in finance, marketing, and event planning will be invaluable as we endeavor to elevate the Ranch to new heights of success. We meet once per month and are also developing subcommittees to meet once per month to oversee and set trajectories for the functions of the business.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with fellow board members to chart the strategic direction of Sikanni River Ranch.
• Provide leadership in establishing and maintaining operational excellence, ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest experiences.
• Work closely with the General Manager to oversee client relationships, staff management, and administrative functions, fostering a culture of professionalism and hospitality.
• Champion the Ranch’s commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement, honoring the profound historical and spiritual connection our stakeholders hold with the land.
• Uphold the highest standards of corporate governance and ethical conduct, safeguarding the interests of all stakeholders.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience in business establishment and management, preferably within the hospitality and tourism industry.
• Strong financial acumen and strategic foresight, with the ability to drive sustainable growth and profitability.
• Expertise in marketing and event planning, with a keen understanding of consumer trends and market dynamics.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams.
• A deep appreciation for Indigenous culture and a commitment to fostering positive relationships with Indigenous communities.
• Previous board or executive leadership experience is highly desirable.

Salary/Wage

400 per month
