DOOR ATTENDANT

What your day will look like:
• Act as a first point of contact for concierge questions about the hotel and its surrounding attractions.
• Smile, welcome and make guests feel that they belong to the Wall family.
• Demonstrate and promote the Wall Centre Values.
• Recognize repeat guests and acknowledge their continued patronage.
• Promote the hotel outlets, facilities and Marriott Bonvoy program with our guests.
• Load and unload bags into guest vehicles and busses as necessary.
• Maintain a clean and professional personal appearance.
• Maintain organized, clean and orderly lobby and courtyard areas.
• Work closely with Hotel Commissionaire to manage all Courtyard traffic including Auto Court, door hold vehicles, Valet vehicles and bus traffic

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Previous guest service experience, Door/Bell/Front Desk/Concierge preferred.
• Must have valid class 5 British Columbia driver’s license and clean drivers abstract.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English. Fluency in additional languages(s), preferably French, German, Italian, Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese or Korean, an asset.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to handle high volume, stressful situations, think quickly and act accordingly.
• Must be able to work varying shifts – early morning starts, late night finishes.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. on a regular and continuous basis.
• Must have thorough knowledge of the Hotel services & amenities, Vancouver and its attractions.
• Focus on guests’ needs by understanding guest enquiries and providing adequate responses.
• Must be able to organize, prioritize and make sound decisions.
• Must be able to exert physical effort in removal, retrieval, delivery and loading of guest luggage, sports equipment, boxes and other belongings.
• Must be a team player, but also able to work individually.

Salary/Wage

$27.00-$30.05 per hour
