We are currently searching for an experienced Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our salary team on a permanent basis.

Reporting to Executive Housekeeper, the Assistant Housekeeping Manager will participate in the day-to-day departmental administration and management of the housekeeping team. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Work schedules that will include opening, mid and closing shifts, managing the day-to-day tasks in housekeeping
• Hands-on management, actively supervising Room Attendants, Housepersons, Seamstress and Laundry Attendant
• Effectively coach, motivate, communicate, recognize, provide performance feedback
• Diligently manage inventory controls and safety programs
• Assign daily room cleaning matrix for Room Attendants and Turn Down Attendants
• Assist with monitoring and maintaining inventory of departmental supplies
• Conduct quality inspections of housekeeping and laundry services, and provide feedback and re-training, as required
• Investigates defect reports to determine cause and takes preventative action, as necessary
• Using a keen eye for detail, regularly inspects rooms to ensure luxury standards and presentation, reviewing any
deficiencies repairs or replacement of furniture, and makes recommendations to Executive Housekeeper
• Utilizing provided technology to log deficiencies and repairs, communicating with the Engineering team as required.
• Utilizing provided technology, manages the productivity and completion of room assignments to suit the needs of our
guests, in direct
collaboration with Front Office Management
• Conducts frontline training to explain policies, work, and safety procedures, as required
• Assists the team in performing general cleaning tasks and preparation of guest rooms, as required
• Prepares reports concerning inventory, room assignments, payroll, and department expenses
• Actively participates in corporate social responsibility and health and safety initiatives in the hotel
• Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action, as required
• Assist Executive Housekeeper in the annual performance review cycle, providing performance feedback
• Undertakes other ad hoc related responsibilities, as required

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years previous work experience in a similar capacity within another luxury hotel is preferred
• Previous work history as a Housekeeping Supervisor is required
• Technologically Savvy with previous experience using Opera and MS Office is preferred
• Motivational management style with a genuine interest in service excellence
• Effective written and oral communication skills

Salary/Wage

$60,000.00 - $65,000.00
