Do you love hiking or biking? Are you a people person who can strike up a conversation with just about anyone? We are looking to hire Retail/Rental Associates for the upcoming summer season. The retail/rental associate helps customers while they shop, answers questions, selection of rental equipment and assists in daily store operations. In this role, you serve as a representative of the retail brand and play an essential role in the store’s overall success. Responsibilities & Qualifications

Physical Requirement:

Light, work activities involve handling loads of 5 kg but less than 10 kg; Predominately in an indoor setting.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Accountabilities:

Greet guests as they enter the store
Assist customers in finding merchandise and making buying decisions
Ensure that guests accurately complete appropriate rental forms and liability waivers
Find the proper bike fit for each customer to create a positive experience.
Check returned rentals for damages.
Replace merchandise on the shelves, paying particular attention to displays
Regularly change displays and remerchandise the store
Continuously improve product expert status by way of regular updating of product knowledge
Demonstrate a passion for the outdoors by maintaining knowledge of trends and emerging technologies that relate to the outdoor lifestyle
Stay up to date with resort promotions pertinent to Elevation
Load and sell RFID tickets to new and returning guests
Maintain cleanliness of the shop and proper storage of all equipment
Process sales for rental and retail through the POS system
Be a continuous ambassador for Sun Peaks Resort and all activities and events throughout the winter season
Ideal Candidate:

Minimum 18 years of age
Must be available from June until end of September 2024
Professional, fun, and friendly personality, with the ability to build enthusiasm with guests under pressure and in routine situations
Neat, tidy, and well-organized, with the ability to multi-task
Experience and a good understanding of a POS system
Hard-working, efficient staff member who pays close attention to guest safety
Enjoy the mountains and outdoors
Well-presented and a team player

Salary/Wage

18.75 - $19.75
