Job Description

Do you love all things golf? Ever wanted to work and play on Canada’s highest-elevation golf course? We are looking to recruit Golf Associates for the upcoming summer. You will assist guests and members in the pro shop with their tee times, equipment rentals and merchandise. The ideal applicant is happy to work indoors and outdoors in a mountain environment in varying weather conditions. Responsibilities & Qualifications

Physical Requirement:

Medium, Outdoor & Indoor

Lifting – Exerting 20+ kg of strength occasionally, and/or 10 kg of strength frequently or constantly to move objects
Walking, standing, bending, crouching and twisting for periods of time.
Ability to work in various conditions and weather including indoors, and outdoors
Exposure to heat, rain, smoke, and noise
This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Accountabilities:

Work as part of the golf operations team in a collaborative, respectful and strong communication environment
Greet and interact with members and guests in a respectful, courteous and efficient manner
Perform sales transactions of tee times, retail merchandise, power cart and rental equipment with diligence and care
Responsible for taking and managing tee time bookings, and proper guest information tracking
Assist guests in finding merchandise and making buying decisions
Continuous cleaning and maintenance of golf carts and rental clubs
Ensure the golf cart staging area and cart storage area are clean and charging mechanisms are correctly working
Health and Safety; immediate action is required when concerns arise. Report to a supervisor or OH&S representative
Acquire and maintain a sound knowledge of Sun Peaks Resort’s facilities regarding Events, Activities, Food & Beverage and Accommodations
Report and respond to requests made by the manager and supervisor
Ideal Candidate:

Strong team player who can demonstrate respectful collaboration and communication
Self-motivated with the ability to react and handle multiple demands
Excellent verbal communication and decision-making skills
Previous experience in the industry an asset
Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf an asset
Experience with POS and Tee Sheet Management Systems an asset
Valid Driver’s License
