Mica Heliskiing offers boutique helicopter skiing packages from its remote backcountry setting 150 kms north of Revelstoke, BC. A recognized leader in the heliski industry, Mica is embarking on some renovations and upgrades to our facilities in time for the 2024/25 season and we are seeking some hard-working, fun-loving people to join a small kitchen team and support the construction project.
Job description:
Daily tasks include food preparation, dishes, maintaining food safe standards and cleanliness within the kitchen and around the lodge, helping Lead Chef with receiving food orders, refuse disposal and recycling, etc.
Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate. This is an excellent entry level kitchen position for someone eager to work in a unique and breathtaking backcountry setting.
The employment is full-time seasonal from mid-April through October 31, 2024, offers a competitive day rate and a rotating schedule (~10 days on ~10 days off). Employment also includes:
• Free transportation to and from Revelstoke
• All meals and single room accommodation while on shift at the Lodge
• Potential opportunities for winter work
• Beautiful outdoors mountain side setting and access to Kinbasket Lake

Responsibilities & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:
1) You have your Food Safe Certificate.
2) You carry out tasks as directed with care and attention to detail. 3) You are well-groomed and have a professional mannerism.
4) You are able to lift and carry goods and small equipment.
5) You prefer and take pride in an organized, neat, clean environment and will work towards ensuring it is.
6) You are dedicated to reducing waste, recycling and composting.
7) You enjoy assisting other staff members.

We are open to candidates with current work visas that are established in Revelstoke or the surrounding area.
