Job Description

We are currently looking for two (2) experienced late-night/early morning bakers to join our team. These positions require working on weekends and require a working schedule of 1:00am to 9:00am 4 – 5 days per week (32 – 40 hrs per week).
The main responsibilities of these positions is the morning bake-off including proofing, baking and finishing of laminated pastries, scoring and baking sourdough bread, dividing ciabatta, dividing and shaping of baguettes, baking of other pastries and cookies. Additional duties include preparation of creams, fillings and icings, icing cakes, general prep work and assisting with production (such as scones, cookie doughs, quick breads). Occasional packing of orders for wholesale customers may also be required.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Qualifications Required:
• Baking and Pastry Arts Diploma (or equivalent)
• Food Safe Certificate
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar environment and position

• Physically fit, able to stand for long periods
• Ability to lift heavy objects (min. 20kg)
• Comfortable with numbers and basic math
• Able to communicate effectively within a team environment and work well with others
• Maintain a sanitary work environment
