Job Description

Do you have a knack for fixing things and are looking for a job at a fantastic slopeside hotel? Our team is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join us. The ideal candidate should have excellent written and spoken English skills and experience with various technologies, such as smartphones, tablets, computers, and 2-way radio systems. Additionally, the candidate should possess mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and general construction, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and flooring knowledge. Having previously worked in a full-service hotel or resort setting, knowing pool and hot tub maintenance is highly desirable. Responsibilities & Qualifications

Physical Requirement:

Heavy, work activities involve handling loads of more than 20 kg, predominately in an indoor setting

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Accountabilities:

Perform maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of facilities
Always adhere to safety standards and procedures
Work collaboratively with team members to address operational needs
Communicate effectively with colleagues and management
Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with the public
Perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and working at heights
Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the 4–10-hour shift pattern
Enjoy a healthy work-life balance with three days off every week, including long weekends
Take advantage of recreational activities such as skiing, snowboarding, biking, golfing, and more during downtime
Commit to full-time, year-round permanent employment
Ideal Candidate:

Authorization to work within Canada
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
High level of experience with technology
Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Previous experience in maintenance or a related field preferred
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
WHMIS certification preferred
Recent Emergency Response Training and current First Aid (OFA-LV1) Training considered are assets
