Job Description

• Interacting with customers (including serving food and drink)
• Ensuring that a high standard of customer service is always maintained
• Overseeing compliance with health and safety regulations (FOH and BOH) at all times
• Running promotional campaigns to market in-house products and events
• Collecting and acting on customer feedback to improve the overall experience for our guests
• Undertaking regular stock checks, placing orders with suppliers and restocking
• Ensuring regular maintenance of the premises, including cleaning and minor repairs
• Recruiting, training and managing staff
• Leading meetings to update and motivate staff members
• Monitoring profitability and performance to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded
• Meeting with the management team to assess pub performance and set sales targets
• Ensuring that the pub adheres to various legal frameworks (liquor acts, safety, etc.)
• Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Strong organizational, multi-tasking and communication skills
• Excellent staff management, motivation and leadership skills
• High level of timeliness and adhering to quality standards
• Strong working knowledge of POS systems and cash out procedures
• Experience with ordering and inventory
• Experience with scheduling, menu planning and forecasting
• Ability to respond positively to high pressure situations
• Firm understanding of Employment Standards
• Critical thinking and the ability to make decisive decisions
• Experience with Tock or equivalent reservation systems
• First Aid Level 1
• Wine Education (WSET)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Management role in the Hospitality Industry
• Serving it Right
• Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
• Able to stand for extended periods of time (8+ hours) and lift upwards of 50 lbs
