Position:

We are hiring a Reservations and Sales Agent for this summer season, starting as soon as possible, reporting to the Business Development Manager. If you love using your enthusiastic and professional personality to facilitate booking world-class accommodations and activities for our guests, then this might be the job for you.

This position has the potential to be converted into a year-round permanent position at Head Office.

Drive west along one of the most scenic highways in Canada through the spectacular mountainous landscape of Strathcona Park and the village of Gold River towards Tahsis. Approximately 2 hours by road from Campbell River on Vancouver Island is Moutcha Bay Resort, on the waters of Nootka Sound.
Nootka Sound Resort is located at Galiano Bay and surrounded by rugged Canadian coastal mountains and thick old-growth forest. This all-inclusive floating resort is accessible by boat or floatplane and popular with corporate groups.
An upscale floating resort located in a secluded bay in Espinosa Inlet (near the Pacific entrance to Esperanza Inlet), Newton Cove Resort is a gem in the wilderness. Here we provide easy access to BC’s best salmon & halibut fishing for more adventurous anglers.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Requirements of Reservations Agent:

• 2 years in customer service and or sales.
• A natural people person with excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Exemplary phone etiquette.
• Ability to multi-task and problem solve effectively.
• A good understanding of sales principles with a proven ability to provide results.
• Basic numeracy skills with some experience taking and processing payments.
• Tech-savvy and ability to learn and use multiple software including the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using booking software (Maestro) preferred.
• Experience or interest with salt-water fishing preferred.

Duties for Reservations Agent:

• Professionally answering the reservations telephone line and responding to customer emails.
• Providing knowledgeable information and assistance on our products and services.
• Keeping a record of all quotes, sales leads, and log daily calls and emails.
• Accurately collecting guest information and maintaining guest records.
• Building reservation bookings in accordance with procedures.
• Rebooking returning guests.
• Relaying guest information to various properties and departments.
• Completing day-end settlement reports for the accounting department.
• Taking and processing payments accurately.
• Using property booking software (Maestro)
• Following up with guests effectively.
