The retail associate helps customers while they shop, answers questions, and assists in daily store operations. In this role, you serve as a representative of the retail brand and play an essential role in the store’s overall success. Responsibilities & Qualifications

Physical Requirement:

Light, work activities involve handling loads of 5 kg but less than 10 kg; Predominately in an indoor setting.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Accountabilities:

Greet customers when they arrive at the store and ask if they need assistance
Process sales transactions at the POS (point-of-sale) counter
Suggest upselling items to customers based on the things they have chosen
Replace merchandise on the shelves, paying particular attention to displays
Regularly change displays and remerchandise the store
Continuously improve product expert status by way of regular updating of product knowledge
Assist customers in finding merchandise and making purchasing decisions
Demonstrate a passion for the outdoors by maintaining knowledge of trends and emerging technologies that relate to the outdoor lifestyle
Provide resort information to guests
Maintain cleanliness of the store and proper storage of all products and fixtures
Be a continuous ambassador for Sun Peaks Resort and all activities and events throughout the season
Ideal Candidate:

Professional, fun, and friendly personality, with the ability to build enthusiasm with guests under pressure and in routine situations
Must be available from June until end of September 2024
Neat, tidy, and well-organized, with the ability to multi-task
Ability to provide superior customer service and exceed customer’s expectations
Experience and a good understanding of a POS system
Experience in a related field or outdoor lifestyle
Well-presented and a team player
