Job Summary:

Sun Fun Tours, specializing in group travel experiences from the Thompson/Okanagan region since 1978, with offices in Kamloops, Kelowna, and Penticton, has an immediate opening for a varied, mixed, and adaptable position in Sales, Operations, and Administration in our Kamloops, BC, Head Office.

As part of a dynamic, close-knit and fun-loving team, you will report to and work collaboratively with the Vice President Sun Fun Tours to promote and sell pre-designed travel vacation packages while delivering an exceptional customer experience; be responsible for the successful operational needs of managing preparation before, during and upon completion of tour(s); provide support to satellite offices while maintaining communication standards and improving overall processes. In this multi-faceted role, you will also assist with general office duties, including administrative tasks and entry-level accounting as outlined but not limited to the following:

Responsibilities and Duties:
Sales Support:
Be part of the Sales Team: Be important to the sales team, sell/promote tours confidently, in person, via email, and by telephone, and have thorough product knowledge.
Customer Interaction: Respond to customer inquiries, process orders, and handle customer service issues promptly.
Customer satisfaction: Effective sales support ensures customer inquiries and issues are promptly addressed, enhancing the overall customer experience.
Operations Management:
Executing pre-planned itinerary: getting the itinerary off the ground successfully.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with Sun Fun Tours’ company policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.
Administrative Tasks:
Office Management: Maintain office supplies, equipment, and facilities to ensure a productive work environment.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and files, including employee records, financial documents, and other administrative files.
Financial Support: Assist with basic accounting tasks, such as invoicing, expense tracking, and budget monitoring.
Communication: Manage internal and external communications, including answering phones, handling correspondence, and organizing mail.
Skills required:
Sales Skills
Communication Skills- excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to present our products and services effectively.
Customer service- strong customer relationship management, handling customer inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
Sales Techniques: the ability to identify sales opportunities and close deals, as well as knowledge of sales strategies and techniques.
Product Knowledge- in-depth understanding of the products and services we offer.
Software Proficiency (CRM, MS Office)
Admin Skills
Organizational Skills
Attention to detail- ensuring accuracy in itinerary changes, new schedules and route timings.
Time Management- prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
Administrative support- providing support to senior management and other departments.

JOB TYPE: Full-time, Permanent 30 – 40 Hours per week, based on operational requirements.

WAGE RATE: range $23.00-24.00 per hour
