Job Description

The position will work closely with the FOH and BOH management team to ensure exceptional guest service is provided to of all our guests. The person in this role is integral to providing our guests with the highest level of service by working within the framework of our service standards. The Server/Supervisor role will include, but is not limited to: greeting guests, taking food & beverage orders, providing efficient customer service, creating and maintaining a fair and safe work environment for all staff members, as well as training and developing new and existing staff members. We are looking for an individual who can perform the duties of a Server while working with the FOH and BOH management team to monitor the profitability and performance of the pub in order to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a high volume, or in a similar casual fine dining setting restaurant with daily sales in excess of $1000/shift.
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Serving sections of more than 10 tables.
Strong working knowledge of POS systems including Focus in general as well as cash out procedures.
In-depth knowledge of wine, beer and spirits.
Ability to effectively communicate daily food and drink features leading to higher average sales.
Wine knowledge.
Valid Serving it Right certificate (or provincial equivalent).
Follows health and safety guidelines as directed by management.
Firm understanding of the restaurant, pub, and hospitality industry
A good working knowledge of current applicable health and liquor laws.
Punctual, reliable and professional.
Encourages and upholds a safe work environment while adhering to company policies around bullying and harassment.
Engages in staff training, staff expectations, staff performance.
Ensures the health and safety of pub and restaurant for guests and staff.
Maintains and complies with all required health and legal requirements.
Accomplishes company goals by accepting ownership and responsibility.
