Job Description

Serving locals and guests since 1994, the Redwoods Golf Course is in North Langley just off Highway #1 and minutes from the Golden Ears Bridge.
Tired of working indoors in a stuffy hotel or restaurant? The Redwoods Golf Course is hiring for the position of Supervisor, Food and Beverage!
This unique position assists in managing our seasonal restaurant and golf course food and beverage operations, which are open from April– December each year, but will also help to lead our banquet team through a busy year full of weddings, golf tournaments, and banquets!
As the Food and Beverage Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day leadership of four food and beverage outlets across the Redwoods facility including the restaurant and banquets as well as on course food and beverage locations.
This is a full-time, year-round position. The ideal applicant would have both restaurant and banquet experience. Priority will be given to those who have knowledge of the game of golf. Due to the nature of the industry, this position involves working on some weekends, evenings and holidays and therefore having a flexible schedule is a requirement.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist in managing and overseeing all daily operations of the front of house food and beverage outlets including the restaurant, banquets, concession and beverage cart
• Schedule, coordinate and supervise staff across the F&B front of house department
• Maintain a high level of guest satisfaction through role modeling and training
• Assist in processing department timesheets and coding hours
• Review and execute Banquet Event Orders
• Ensure standards for facility cleanliness are met
• Ensure food quality, presentation and timeliness standards are met
• Assist in ongoing recruitment, orientation, training, and development of staff
• Ensure cashouts and cash drops are completed accurately
• Promote a positive work culture through strong and supportive relationships with all team members
• Motivate team members to strive for exceptional customer service
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & ASSETS:
• Minimum three years of food and beverage experience in a similar facility or environment
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience in a similar facility or environment
• Willingness to complete a Police Information Check
• Valid First Aid Level 1, CPR, and AED Certification, or equivalent will be required to be maintained during employment
• Valid Serving It Right will be required to be maintained during employment
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and willingness to provide a Driver’s Abstract required
• Completion of post-secondary education in a discipline such as event management, business administration, or other related discipline is an asset

Salary/Wage

58,000 - $65,000
