Prestige Oceanview Hotel in Prince Rupert, BC is looking for a permanent, full-time Housekeeping Coordinator.

The Housekeeping Coordinator is a working housekeeper role who helps plan, organize, and motivate to achieve the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance of Prestige Oceanview Hotel.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

What does an ideal candidate look like?

– Excellent communication and customer service skills
– Front desk experience is an asset
– Must be legally entitled to work in Canada

Duties & Responsibilities:

– Performs guest room housekeeping duties, laundry functions, and cleans public areas on a regular basis
– Trains and motivates housekeeping and laundry personnel
– Provides housekeeping and laundry performance feedback to the General Manager
– Assists with scheduling personnel to provide timely service at the hotel in conjunction with the General Manager
– Organizes the daily functions and duties of the housekeeping department
– Maintains and conducts regular inventories of all supplies and equipment
– Inspects quality of linens and advises the General Manager on purchasing requirements
– Monitors levels of cleaning products and trains in their usage to improve efficiencies
– Inspects guest rooms and public areas to ensure quality assurance
– Maintains and oversees the required process to ensure regular deep cleaning and preventative maintenance
– Reports maintenance issues to management
– Ensures that local health and sanitation regulations are carried out
– Participates in the Joint Health & Safety Committee
– Other duties as assigned by the General Manager

Salary/Wage

$19.31 per hour
