Our Electrical Department is excited to welcome a new team member who is beginning their electrical trade journey!

As part of the Operations Team, electrical apprentices play an important role in supporting the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of key infrastructure across the mountain. This includes power distribution, lift systems, snowmaking equipment, buildings, and other essential utilities.

This is a hands-on opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while gaining valuable skills in a dynamic and unique mountain environment.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to the following):
• Working under the supervision of a licensed electrician to gain hands-on experience and
knowledge of the electrical trade
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and code specifications.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic components and systems.
• Install, test, repair low voltage, PLC, panel installations, transformers, motors/controls and other
applications.
• Collaborate with the Lift Operations team on lift system maintenance and operations.
• Adhering to electrical codes and safety regulation, and company policies to ensure a safe work
environment
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Safely operating various tools and equipment for electrical work.

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
• Previous experience at a ski resort or similar highly regarded.
• Experience working with machinery/equipment.
• Comfortable working at heights (e.g., trail lighting, lift towers).
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Physically capable of lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work shifts, holidays, and overtime as required.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Ability to pass mechanical/electrical aptitude test.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Any additional safety training (e.g., WHMIS, Fall Protection, OFA) is considered an asset.

Salary/Wage

25.38/hour
