Job Description
The Crystal Lodge has an exiting opportunity to join their Sales & Marketing team as a full-time, year-round Reservations Supervisor! This is a great career opportunity for those with experience as either Front Desk Agents and/ or Reservations Agents that are looking to take that next step within their hospitality and sales career.
The general scope of this role is to support the Director of Sales & Marketing, Sales & Marketing Coordinator and Revenue Manager in all aspects of the reservations and sales cycle, whilst also supporting the Reservations Agents within the team to maximize guest experience and sales.
Your primary responsibilities will be to:
Work with the DOSM to oversee and provide leadership support for the reservations team
Provide the Revenue Manager with relevant reports to make timely, strategic decisions, and assist in implementing these changes as needed
Day-to-day management of the reservations team
Ensuring rates and restrictions, inventory and yield strategies are correct to maximize hotel’s RevPAR
Process and handle group rooming lists, reservations, and corporate reservations requests along with the Sales & Events Manager
Answer phone calls and greet prospective guests in a friendly manner using clear, verbal English communication
Support the Revenue Manager with Extranets, Inventory block & wholesale free sell
Distribute booking procedures for new packages and promotions with directions from the Revenue Manager
Work closely with Front Desk team to ensure they are aware of all day-to-day strategies and marketing promotions
Ensure all Standard Operating Procedure Manuals in the Reservations, and Front Desk departments are kept current
Respond to employee inquiries and coordinate bookings
Coordinate timeshare owners and maintain owner relations
Responsibilities & Qualifications
EXPERIENCE
Hotels sales and reservations processes in a medium-sized property with proven experience in team leadership, customer service, and selling
Post- secondary education or equivalent
A proven track record of meeting deadlines, and consistently contributing to improving property/service standards.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
We are looking for a positive, energetic, and motivated self-starter who believes in providing true customer service while maximizing revenue opportunities for the hotel.
You lead by example, with a strong work ethic and are results driven.
Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in complex situations while portraying a calm, assured and professional manner at all times.
Strong computer skills are necessary.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS
You must be familiar with hotel operating systems and software, and be computer literate in, Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Publisher.
Proficient in Hotel Management Software such as RDP and Inntopia
You are a team oriented and share your positive attitude with your fellow peers.
Excellent attention to detailed with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
You are organized and good at multi-tasking.
You must have strong oral and written communication skills.
Salary/Wage
52000 - 55,000
