Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Assistant Ski Manager to join our leadership team at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort. In this role, you will oversee the daily Ski & Golf Course’s operations of the resort, ensure exceptional guest experience while support the Resort General Manager in strategic planning and execution. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the resort’s unique culture and fostering an environment of teamwork and enthusiasm among staff and guests alike.

Responsibilities

l Assist in the daily operations of the ski hill and golf courses, ensuring quality service delivery and optimal guest satisfaction

l Collaborate with the Resort General Manager to develop and implement operational strategies and performance metrics

l Oversee staff training and development, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement

l Coordinate with various departments, including ski school, guest services, and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations

l Manage guest feedback and resolve any issues promptly to enhance overall experience

l Help develop and manage the resort’s budget, tracking expenses and revenue to ensure financial efficiency

l Participate in marketing and promotional activities to enhance the resort’s visibility and guest engagement

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Required and Preferred Qualifications

l 5+ years of experience in hospitality management or a related field, preferably in a ski resort environment

l Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team

l Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on guest relations

l Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

l Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration, or a related field

l Experience in winter sports or ski operations and golf course operations

l Familiarity with budget management and financial reporting

l Technical skills and relevant technologies

l Proficiency in property management systems and reservation software

l Strong analytical skills to assess operational performance and guest satisfaction metrics

l Knowledge of health and safety regulations specific to ski resorts

l Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges

l Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders

l Passion for sports and commitment to creating memorable guest experiences

l Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions and guest needs
