Job Description

As a Room Attendant / Inspector, you will be working with our Housekeeping team cleaning guest rooms, and inspecting rooms to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and guest satisfaction are maintained.

You have a keen eye for detail, and respect the importance that impeccably clean guest room supplies have in a hotel. You can communicate well with guests, and always willing to “pitch-in”, lead by example, and be a team player. You have knowledge of basic sanitation and hygiene requirements, and controls, and knowledge of policies applicable to housekeeping and laundry especially those related to safety, guest security and hotel property.
You have the supervisory skills to manage the housekeeping operations with the ability to effectively deal with associates, in addition to the ability to continuously inspect rooms and work collectively with the team.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

1. Clean bathtub, toilet, sink, walls, mirrors, tiles, counters, and floor surfaces using cloths, mops, sponges, brushes, and/or cleaning agents by extending arms over head, bending and stooping.
2. Adhere to cleaning procedures and instructions for use of cleaning agents and wearing of PPE.
3. Strip and make beds, changing bed linens, which may require lifting bedspreads weighing a maximum of 50 lbs.
4. Dust all furniture, pictures, drawers, window ledges, and shelves thoroughly.
5. Push and pull vacuum throughout the entire room and empty trash.
6. Ensure all electronic equipment, plumbing fixtures operate.
7. As assigned compete daily room refreshment as per guidelines.
8. Assist with inventory counts and controls.
9. Maintain work areas clean and organized which includes restocking of carts and floor linen areas.
10. Adhere to departmental standards on a safe work environment. Working alone, use of wet floors signs in public and BOH areas. Needle disposal units, biohazard wash bags used if required.
11. Replenish amenities, linens, and supplies in guest room.
12. Sign for room keys, retrieve, push to assigned rooms and restock heavy
13. cart. Visually inspect the room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion for room.
14. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
15. Perform any other job-related duties as assigned in the housekeeping dept & laundry.
16. Report any damage / deficiencies to housekeeping leadership, maintenance departments.
17. Handle lost and found in accordance with polices implemented at the
18. property.
19. Assist co workers to complete tasks as required.
20. Assist in houseperson back of house and front of house duties (public areas, restaurant and event space as assigned.
