Job Description
Okanagan Crush Pad Winery is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Hospitality Supervisor to join our team full time for the tasting season. This is an on-site role based in Summerland, BC. The ideal candidate brings a passion for BC wine and hospitality, thrives in a high-volume environment, and leads with energy, warmth, and professionalism. Working closely with the Director of Hospitality, the Hospitality Supervisor will oversee daily tasting room operations, lead and support the tasting room team, and ensure every guest experience is welcoming, knowledgeable, and memorable, all while driving sales and wine club growth.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Tasting Room & Team Leadership
Support the Director of Hospitality in developing and executing strategies to maximize onsite visitation, wine club membership, and program development through the 2026 season
Supervise the tasting room team, leading by example to deliver engaging guest experiences and strong daily sales
Manage the full hiring cycle for tasting room team members, including training, scheduling, and day-to-day oversight
Foster a positive, collaborative team culture in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
Operations & Administration
Oversee daily tasting room operations to ensure smooth service and consistent standards
Manage staff schedules, assist with product ordering, and support monthly inventory processes
Ensure accuracy of retail transactions, POS operations, daily sales reconciliation, and reporting
Respond to guest inquiries via email and telephone
Guest Experience & Sales
Welcome guests with an elevated level of hospitality, delivering memorable wine experiences that translate into sales
Lead large group tastings, tours, and assist with specialized onsite events as needed
Actively promote wine sales and encourage guests to join the wine club
Share product knowledge confidently, communicating the winery’s values and sustainable approach
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a high-volume hospitality setting
Minimum 3 years of experience in a hospitality role
Passion for Okanagan wine; formal wine education is an asset but not required
Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask
Calm, proactive, and solutions-oriented under pressure
Ability to participate in daily kitchen duties and food preparation
Food Safe and Serving It Right certifications required prior to start date
Experience with Commerce7 and Tock is an asset
