About the Role

The Guest Service Agent/ Bell Person facilitates premium experience by managing pool deck operations and guest logistics. This role serves as a vital link between the Front Office and the resort pool areas, ensuring a safe and secure environment while providing efficient bell and linen services.

What You’ll Do

• Act as a hotel ambassador coming forward and offering Guest Service.
• Greet all guests in a friendly manner.
• Assist with inquiries regarding pool hours or hotel services/amenities, booking dining reservations, etc.
• Act as the primary point of contact at the pool entrance. Verify guest credentials (room keys/vouchers) to ensure the pool facilities remain exclusive to hotel guests.
• Maintain a vigilant presence to ensure guest safety and adherence to pool rules.
• Manage the distribution of fresh, high-quality towels and robes to guests in need as they enter the pool area.
• Proactively collect used towels and transport them to the laundry facility.
• Coordinate the transport of clean linens from laundry back to the pool area, ensuring the towel stations are always fully stocked.
• Perform Bell Service as needed: collecting bell carts, delivering guest items to rooms as required, assisting with guest baggage (storing and transporting) as required.
• Some stress resulting from the need to manage within time constraints of daily guest interactions (internal and external), budgetary, and time constraints.
• Performs all other job-related duties assigned by management.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

What You Need to Have

• Grade 12 education.
• Minimum 1 year experience in guest service (preferably in a resort/hotel environment).
• Strong knowledge of the surrounding areas and familiar with Vancouver and the Greater Vancouver area is an asset.
• A positive attitude, professional appearance, and strong work ethic.
• Computer experience is an asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to safely lift, pull, push, and carry possibly up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Able to stand and walk for a long period of time.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Willing and able to provide training to new associates as required.
• Flexible to a changing schedule.

Salary/Wage

$18.76 - $25.01
