The Housekeeping Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests, staff, and visitors. This role involves scheduling, inventory management, quality control, and communication between housekeeping staff and other departments.
What you’ll be doing
Coordinate daily housekeeping activities, including room assignments and task delegation.
Monitor daily workflows, assign tasks based on priorities, and implement time management strategies to meet service standards and deadlines.
Monitor cleaning standards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular inspections of rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; place orders as needed send to Assistant GM for approval.
Coordinate with the Assistant GM on completion of quarterly, monthly, and weekly inventories for the housekeeping department.
Assist in training new housekeeping staff and provide ongoing support and guidance.
Collaborate with maintenance and front desk teams to address issues efficiently.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Who you are
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hospitality or housekeeping management is a plus.
Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality coordination preferred.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and housekeeping management software.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Prior supervisory experience, excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to lead a team and manage conflict.
Valid drivers’ license and flexible schedule.
Physical ability to work, bend, crouch, climb stairs and be in motion/standing for prolonged periods.
Physical ability to carry or lift up to 50 pounds.
Salary/Wage
22-24/hour
