The Position
The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning guest rooms, replenishing amenities, and delivering an excellent guest experience. Room Attendant will also be required to manage guest requests as required.
Reports to: Executive Housekeeper or designate.
The Job
• Clean guest bedrooms and bathrooms.
• Vacuum rooms and corridors.
• Change and replenish bed linen, towels and guest amenities in line with company guidelines.
• Undertake regular deep cleaning tasks.
• Restock and maintain trolley on a daily basis.
• Report any missing or damaged items to the Housekeeping Supervisor and own the responsibility to ensure that the items are replaced or repaired so to create an uninterrupted or impaired stay for the guest..
• Ensure that all equipment inside and around guest rooms as well as in work areas and used when performing housekeeping responsibilities is in working condition.
• Be environmentally aware and dispose of waste accordingly.
• Manage guest requests in a timely and efficient manner
• Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation.
• Carry out lost property procedures.
• Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships.
• Clean and maintain public areas when assigned, including lobbies, elevators, and restrooms.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to the hotel’s grooming and uniform standards.
• Assist in the training of new housekeeping staff by sharing knowledge and practices to ensure consistency in room cleanliness.
• Other duties as assigned to support operational needs and team objectives.

Job Requirements
• At least 2 years of cleaning experience is preferred.
• Must be reliable and punctual and have a positive attitude.
• Must have excellent time-management skills.
• Must be committed to high cleanliness standards.
• Adaptable to the demands of the day while maintaining company standards.
• Must have flexible availability, including weekends.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry cleaning supplies weighing up to 40 lbs is required.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning protocols.
