Job Description

Customer Service Excellence:

– Greet campers warmly upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcome and informed about their stay.
– Respond promptly to guest inquiries and concerns, providing accurate information about campground amenities, local attractions, and safety guidelines.
– Handle reservations and check-ins/check-outs efficiently using a Point Of Sale System.
– Address and resolve guest issues with professionalism and a solutions-oriented approach.

Facility Maintenance:

– Cleaning of vacated campsites, public outhouses, day use areas, trails and park facilities.
– Monitor campground cleanliness and ensure facilities are cleaned and maintained to the park’s quality control plan.
– Conduct regular site inspections to ensure safety and comfort for all guests.
– Assist in managing firewood sales, and other campground services.

Community Engagement:

– Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment by promoting and communicating campground policies and ensuring all guests respect the shared spaces.
– Provide recommendations for outdoor activities, hiking trails, and local events to enhance the guest experience.
– Organize or assist with campground events, such as National Parks Day program activities and other holiday events.

Administrative Duties:

– Process payments, manage cash handling, and maintain accurate records.
– Assist in inventory tracking and restocking of supplies as needed.
– Problem solving basic IT issues.
– Report maintenance issues or emergencies promptly to the appropriate personnel.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

– Exceptional interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset.
– Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or outdoor recreation is highly desirable.
– Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
– Capable of working hands-on with computer applications to manage business processes daily (POS system, records, reporting).
– Possess basic operating and maintenance skills for minor repairs and upkeep of grounds and facilities such as small tools, landscaping equipment.
– Enthusiasm for nature and outdoor activities; knowledge of local flora, fauna, and trails is a plus.
– Physical ability to perform tasks such as walking, standing, lifting, and bending for extended periods.
– Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
