Are you looking for serious Okanagan lifestyle? Time to be on the lake, up the mountain? This position can be flexible with hours and days. This position is a Department Head and an active (and essential) member of the Management Team. 

The Front Office Manager’s primary responsibility is to not only supervise, but to inspire and support the Guest Service Agents as they provide and maintain personalized, professional and friendly service that exceeds our guest’s expectations. It is the SWR’s expectation the Front Office Manager do this by leading by example, encouraging best practices and adhering to SWR policies and procedures.

Key areas of responsibility for this position are:

Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Front Desk:

  1. Ensure exceptional service delivery to guests
  2. Ensure a safe, organized work space for the FD team
  3. Ensure the FD team has the tools required to serve our guests
  4. Be the SWR Property Management System (RSI) resource for all departments

Administration:

  1. Manage and reconcile leisure guest billing and credit card authorizations/disputes
  2. Month End Reconciliations
  3. Manage Wholesaler inventory (including stop-sells)
  4. OTA liaison and troubleshooting
  5. Manage and reconcile petty cash
  6. Staff supervision and schedules
  7. Play an active role in Yield Management

Special Projects as required

Act as a communication hub for colleagues, partners and vendors. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Preference will be given to those with five star experience. We are looking for someone who can bring a minimum of two years supervisory or management experience to our Front Desk, and to our hotel.

This position requires the following additional qualifications:

  1. Formal Education in Hospitality Management
  2. Integrity, strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  3. Mature and polished personal presentation
  4. Must be physically able to stand for long periods of time, move heavy items (you know what hotel work is like)
  5. A sincere desire to provide the best possible service to our guests, clients and customers
  6. Ability to multi-task, take initiative, comfortable with instigating and managing change
  7. Computer literacy and experience in Property Management Systems. RSI/Room Key is preferred.

Salary/Wage

$27 /hour
