Key Responsibilities & Requirements

Visitor Experience & Retail Associate (Weekend + Friday Crossover)

– Act as a welcoming brand ambassador representing both Vancouver Foodie Tours and Granville Island Delivery Co. with professionalism, warmth, and strong hospitality presence

– Serve as an in-person expert on all tour offerings, confidently explaining tour details, pricing, schedules, and inclusions to potential guests

– Provide reservation support and on-the-spot bookings through company systems following training

– Liaise communications to the Sales and Operations teams regarding guest inquiries, booking requests, or complex questions requiring escalation

– Answer incoming phone calls and general inquiries, providing accurate information or redirecting as appropriate

– Support weekend tour operations adjustments on site, including relaying updates to guides, schedule changes, or last-minute guest communications

– Assist with retail sales and POS transactions, including cash handling and basic reconciliation at shift end

– Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing retail space, restocking merchandise and updating displays as needed

– Complete administrative and organizational tasks that support the core Monday–Friday team (e.g., spreadsheet updates, basic tracking, filing, inventory counts, preparing materials)

– Participate in a weekly Friday crossover shift to align with the operations team, receive updates, prepare the retail space for the weekend, and maintain consistent brand messaging

– Observe and communicate guest feedback, recurring questions, or operational issues to the management team in a timely manner

– Demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills while working independently during weekend shifts

– Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and reliability, with the ability to stand for extended periods and engage with high visitor foot traffic

18/hour
