Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team. The Sous Chef plays a key role in daily kitchen operations, supporting the Executive Chef in delivering exceptional food quality, maintaining high standards, and leading a motivated team in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations
Lead, mentor, and inspire line cooks and prep staff
Ensure consistent execution of seasonal, locally inspired menus
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and cleanliness
Support menu development, costing, and inventory management
Uphold food safety and sanitation standards (FoodSafe certification required)
Contribute to a positive, respectful, and collaborative kitchen culture
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a leadership role in a high-quality restaurant
Strong knowledge of seasonal, farm-to-table cuisine
Proven leadership and team development skills
Solid understanding of food costing, inventory, and kitchen systems
Exceptional communication skills
Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Culinary diploma or equivalent professional experience preferred
Valid FoodSafe certification
Salary/Wage
250/day
