go2HR is proud to partner with Beata Chami, Organizational Psychologist, Certified Coach, and authorized Mental Health First Aid Instructor, to deliver this Mental Health First Aid certification training through Opening Minds (Mental Health Commission of Canada).
The Mental Health Commission of Canada reports that one in every five Canadians experiences a mental health challenge within a given year. While many people understand physical illness, there is often less awareness of mental health or substance use issues. This lack of understanding can lead to stigma, fear, and barriers to seeking or offering support.
The Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) certification program focuses on increasing mental health awareness, understanding stigma, diagnostic labelling, and barriers to helping. Participants will gain practical skills and communication strategies to support someone who may be experiencing a decline in their mental well-being or a mental health or substance use crisis.
