Join the Cypress Mountain Accounting Team as an Accountant. In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our operations running smoothly by handling a variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including processing invoices, payment of vendors, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, performing account reconciliations, and supporting day-to-day financial operations.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to the following):
· Process payment requests in a timely manner including but not limited to vendor invoices, expense reports, credit card payments etc.
· Receive, enter and process purchase order requests, including follow-up.
· Print Accounts Payables cheques in multiple currencies.
· Holding stakeholders accountable to accounting principles and practices.
· Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
· Accurately prepare and reconcile data as well as prepare reports with this data.
· Maintain accurate and well-organized accounting records and documentation.
· Assist with month end reconciliations, including but not limited to accounts payable accruals.
· Assist and support the Controller & Assistant Controller in their job duties.
· Contribute to overall department goals by performing other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
• Minimum 3+ years of proven experience in an accounting role.
• Background in Accounts Payable at a high volume.
• Background in Fully Cycle Accounting – Income Audit, Accounts Receivable.
• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple monthly deadlines effectively.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.
• High accuracy and with strong attention to detail.
• Strong numerical aptitude.
• Proficiency in filing, record keeping, data entry, and word processing.
• Data entry and word processing skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Organized, courteous, and professional under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Adaptability to work effectively in a diverse, ever-changing environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with Concur Purchase Order System (asset).
• Experience with Dynamic NAV accounting system (asset).
• Ski industry experience (asset).
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
· Legally able to work in Canada.
· Valid B.C. driver’s license.
· Insured and reliable vehicle with winter tires for travel to and from the mountain.
Salary/Wage
59,250/annually
