The Opportunity
We’re looking for a reliable and solutions-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our finance team across a variety of responsibilities. This role offers a diverse and engaging scope of work—from processing accounts payable and receivable to resolving discrepancies, performing reconciliations, and coordinating with both internal teams and global suppliers. Your creativity, diligence, and commitment to accuracy will help ensure our financial processes run efficiently and our supplier relationships remain strong. In the travel industry, timing and precision matter—and your work will directly contribute to maintaining our reputation for professionalism and dependability.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
• Accounts Payable Processing
o Code, verify, and process supplier invoices accurately and on schedule
o Ensure supporting documentation aligns with contract terms
o Prepare and schedule payments in accordance with internal procedures
• Dispute Resolution & Supplier Communication
o Investigate billing issues or discrepancies
o Maintain professional, courteous communication with suppliers
• Reconciliations & Reporting
o Reconcile supplier statements, bank transactions, and credit card accounts
o Support month-end close and assist with ongoing financial reporting
• Internal Collaboration
o Liaise with internal departments to resolve invoice or billing questions
o Contribute to improved workflows and interdepartmental coordination
• Administrative Support
o Maintain accurate digital files and records
o Assist with general accounting and office tasks as required

What You Bring
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial workflows
• Excellent problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities
• Proactive, deadline-driven approach—especially with supplier payments
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Flexibility and comfort with a variety of tasks in a dynamic environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software is an asset
• Experience in travel, tourism, or hospitality is a plus (not required)
