Job Description
Escape the city and join our team in the vibrant artistic village of Wells BC. Located just 8kms east of Barkerville Historic Town and Park, western North America’s largest outdoor heritage attraction. Wells is more than just gold, it’s history and adventure. The village serves the burgeoning outdoor recreation enthusiast during all 4 seasons and has become a winter destination in addition to the busy summer tourist season!

The Jack O Clubs Pub, established in 2016, serves as the culinary and entertainment heart of the community. Known for its great food, unique drinks and fantastic service, you will be confident in knowing the work you do is appreciated by a grateful community.
We are currently expanding operations due to increased demand, and we would like to round out our already stellar crew. Come work with a dedicated and inspired team as we take the pub to new levels in culinary creativity, innovative drink offerings, and one-of-a-kind service, as well as entertaining special events.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
Our Ideal Candidate:
• 2 years of kitchen/restaurant experience
• 1+ years of kitchen leadership experience in a similar role and/or establishment and is looking to grow their career
• Demonstrates honesty, openness and kindness
• Friendly and outgoing, positive attitude and energy, approachable and charismatic
• Self-motivated learner, goal-orientated
• Strong organization skills, able to work calmly and effectively under pressure
• Set an example for a respectful, collaborative team while demonstrating appropriate working behaviors
• Problem-solving abilities and efficient conflict resolution
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Direct the kitchen staff efficiently and effectively
• Planning the menu and preparing food items, which includes specialty or seasonal offerings
• Estimating needed supplies and filing up orders accordingly
• Coordinating the workflow and schedules of other kitchen staff members
• Training staff and introducing new cooking practices to the team
• Preparing and cooking offered dishes
• Manage inventory and keep accurate counts
