We are currently seeking a Assistant Front Office Manager who has a passion for excellence to lead our Front Office team. As the Assistant Front Office Manager you will be assisting the Front Office Manager in running the operations of the Front Office and leading shifts.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Leading, coaching and developing the Front Office team.
• Ensuring all associates has been trained properly before given any task assignment.
• Assisting the Front Office Manager in administration of the Front Office with the managing of the day to day functions and the supervision of our Team Members
• Motivating and encouraging employees to perform their best, making them accountable for their tasks and assignments and providing feedback on possible improvements.
• Manage room inventory, flow of arrivals and departures
• Assisting the Front Office Manager in establishing and communicating the Company’s expectations and ensuring the consistency of service standards are rendered to guests.
• Following up with the guests concerns regarding satisfaction.
• Focusing on guest satisfaction and improvement during all departmental meetings.
• Serving as a role model to the team by demonstrating appropriate Hilton service behaviors.
• Ensure that proper procedures for dealing with guest illness or injury, system failures, fire alarms, robbery, security incidents and other emergencies are followed if they occur. Report unsafe conditions, as appropriate.
• Work with the Bell, Valet and Front desk teams to ensure the all hotel policies and procedures are followed
• Assist with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in the areas of Concierge, Bell, Valet, Front Desk and lobby coverage.
• Must have the ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
• Escalate guest and/or associate related matters in a prompt, timely manner as required to your department head and/or senior manager.
• Abide by the policies and procedures as set out in the Team Member Handbook and any other applicable policies.
• Act as MOD (Duty Manager) on all shifts
• This will require varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Holds emergency response duties, as Manager on Duty
• Other duties as assigned
Responsibilities & Qualifications
• Must have at least 3 years of working experience in the Supervisory capacity with Front Office with another hotel brand.
• Outstanding attention to detail – both personal and grooming appearance; properly identifying guest’s needs, demeanor, and level of required service attention.
• Excellent customer service skills. Demonstrates self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm.
• Proven leadership ability in a team environment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communications skills both oral and written when dealing with guests and employees both internally and externally.
• Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management, Marketing Sales or a related discipline is a strong asset.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, co-operatively within a team setting and as well as the ability to plan and multi-task in a busy environment.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be computer literate – proficient in word and excel.
• Previous experience with Hilton PEP Property Management System is an asset
• Valid BC Class 4 or 5 Drivers License required (or equivalent)
Salary/Wage
55K - 59K
