Job Description

Bus Drivers work under the direction of the River Operation Managers, alongside River Guides and River Trip Assistants to carry out all transportation tasks required for rafting and resort operations. This position is best suited for an active team player who likes working outside and has great ability to follow direction and effectively manage their time.

Part-time Bus Drivers will participate in pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities, as well as vehicle maintenance and/or general resort maintenance while the trips are out on the river, if time permits.

Part-time drivers schedule will reflect our busier days, which are generally on weekends. If desired, full-time hours could be filled by working in other departments.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Key responsibilities include:
– Transporting guests to/from the river for rafting trips
– Vehicle/bus maintenance (pre-trip inspections, cleaning, fluid top-ups)
– Trailering rafts and equipment to/from the river
– Preparing and packing river gear for guests
– Interacting with guests
– Assist with maintenance and cleaning jobs around the Resort as needed, including garbage runs, general inspections, etc.

Successful applicants will possess the following attributes:
– Class 2 Driver’s License with airbrakes
– Clean driving record
– Experience driving manual transmission is an asset
– Experience driving trailers is an asset
– Experience driving commercially is an asset
– Self-motivated with time management skills
– Great communication skills
– Punctual and reliable
– Team oriented but capable of working independently
– Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends

Salary/Wage

19.25//hr
