Job Description

Bell2 Lodge is seeking a highly self-motivated Cafe Attendant who has a keen eye for detail and enjoys working independently to operate the coffee program AND the gas station at our remote lodge in Northern BC.

The Café Attendant must LOVE customer service. Catering to tourists and industrial workers, you are in charge of running the Gas Station, Lunch Menu, and Espresso Machine all while maintaining inventory levels of all confectionary, beverage and house-made food items. This position is responsible for keeping a clean work environment for guests while producing sales and working with a cash register.

Our ideal candidate is a strong barista who masters latte art and can maintain/adjust a manual 2 group head Espresso Machine.

• Energetic and patient, with the ability to multi-task and work independently.
• Demonstrate excellent time management and interpersonal skills during work.
• Able to thrive in a diverse environment with a key focus on guest satisfaction.
• Cash handling experience is required.
• Barista experience mandatory, server experience an asset.
• Proficient in English required, additional languages (particularly French and German) an asset.
• Accurate record keeping of all inventory and place orders on a routine and regular basis.
• Organize products to ensure appropriate rotation to maintain freshness.
• Possess articulate communication skills required to interact effectively with guests, management, employees and suppliers.
• Able to take initiative and respond to ever changing demands in a positive manner while under pressure.
• Passion for working with people and the outdoors is an asset.

Requirements:
• Serving it Right Certificate required (or willing and able to obtain prior to starting work)
• Ability to lift 50 lbs is required
• Previous experience in a remote lodge an asset
• All applicants must be legally entitled to live and work in Canada

Other Perks/Benefits

Shifts are three weeks on and one week off, working ten hour days. Accommodation and meals are provided for all employees while on rotation. Transfers to and from Terrace on weeks out are available. Flights are at your own cost. In the winter months, perks include heliskiing if you are a strong skier/snowboarder and all conditions met. Please note we cannot accommodate pets.
