Reporting to the Catering & Events Manager, our Catering & Events Supervisor oversees the catering
team during events, ensuring the team works as a cohesive unit to make every event, large or small,
memorable for our guests. From pitching in to serve meals or helping the bartender, to running
dishes to and from the kitchen, this role is instrumental to the success of our catering team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee events, ensuring the team executes the event seamlessly
Assist the Director of Sustainability and the Catering and Events Manager on advancing sustainable event practices and offerings
Communicate clearly and effectively with our Catering Chef and Food and Beverage Manager during events
Provide support to the Catering & Events Manager leading up to events
Support the Catering & Events Manager in training new team members
Assist and provide direction to team members when setting up, executing and tearing down events
Provide direct service to guests, including serving, bussing, seating guests, and general clerical cashier duties
Interact with guests and provide information regarding menu items
Consistently deliver friendly & professional service to our guests
Assist the bartender and restocking as needed
Promote our culture of sustainability through adherence to our recycling & composting procedures
Perform other duties as requested by the Catering and Events Manager and other team members as required
Responsibilities & Qualifications
Previous Supervisory experience in a catering setting
Previous serving & bartending experience in a fast-paced environment
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under stressful situations
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with guests and team members
Strong organizational skills
POS (point of sale) experience
Strong attention to detail
Serving it Right certificate is mandatory
Food Safe Level 1 is an asset
Ability to lift up to 20 lb
Passion for people and the outdoors
Mature, friendly, and well-groomed
Willing to go above and beyond to create an exceptional guest experience
