Job Description

Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, the Catering & Events Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and executing all catering and event functions to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and operational excellence. This role oversees all catering-related activities and works collaboratively with the Sales Manager, Food & Beverage team, and other departments to deliver the highest standards of service for both internal and guest-facing events.

Key Responsibilities

-Plan, coordinate, and execute all catering and event-related functions, both internal and guest-facing.
-Act as the main contact for wedding inquiries, proposals, and event management.
-Collaborate with the Sales Manager and Sales & Catering Coordinator to smoothly execute events once contracts are confirmed.
-Work with the Food & Beverage team to ensure Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) are communicated effectively and carried out smoothly.
-Champion and oversee all TripleSeat (Catering PMS & Software) settings, troubleshooting, and coordination with Maestro PMS.
-Manage event setup, service, and breakdown to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded.
-Upsell and negotiate with clients on F&B, service offerings, and add-ons.
-Lead weekly BEO meetings to convey event details and operational needs to internal teams.
-Respond to or delegate all event inquiries promptly.
-Manage and develop relationships with outside vendors, and update the vendor list as needed.
-Be on-site for all major events to ensure proper setup and address client needs in real time.
-Manage wedding tours, ceremonies, and reception events from planning to execution.
-Prompt follow-up on all concluded events for feedback and guest satisfaction.
-Monitor event profitability and ensure precise tracking and reporting of catering leads, revenues, and performance through TripleSeat.
-Thorough knowledge and regular research of comp set function and catering offerings.
-Attend Sales & Marketing meetings and contribute to overall business strategies.
-Consistently work to improve client satisfaction with tailored, professional, and attentive service.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

-Shows professionalism and a strong dedication to guest satisfaction.
-Extensive knowledge and proven experience in Catering, Food & Beverage, and Events management.
-Reliable team player capable of working effectively with others.
-Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently while taking the initiative to anticipate needs and resolve issues.
-Previous experience in the Hospitality and/or Tourism industry.
-Experience with CRMs and Property Management systems is regarded as a significant asset.
-Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple events at the same time.
-A flexible schedule is needed to support event operations, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Salary/Wage

58,000 to $63,000
