Job Description
We have three 6-month internships open!
Join the passionate team at the Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre (RMDC) and help bring local history to life. These exciting paid internships offer recent graduates the chance to develop hands-on experience across core museum functions — from operations and outreach to archival preservation.
Operations Coordinator
Are you organized, proactive, and excited about how museums run behind the scenes? As our Operations Coordinator, you’ll help keep the RMDC running smoothly by supporting daily operations, assisting with events and guided tours, and contributing to key internal planning documents. You’ll also help grow our volunteer and membership programs and work on sustainability and accessibility initiatives.
Community Engagement Coordinator
We’re looking for a dynamic and creative individual to help strengthen our connection to the community. In this role, you’ll plan and deliver inclusive public programs, lead tours and camps, coordinate events like Canada Day and Halloween, and collaborate with local partners to develop meaningful, responsive programming. You’ll also contribute to our outreach, marketing, and volunteer coordination efforts.
Archival Research Coordinator
Help preserve and share Rossland’s rich history as our Archival Research Coordinator! You’ll digitize and catalogue archival materials, manage public research inquiries, and support content development for social media and community storytelling. This role also includes preservation planning, volunteer support, and outreach through workshops and events.
These are fantastic opportunities for recent graduates to gain real-world experience in museums, archives, and community engagement.
