Position Summary

Eleven Revelstoke Lodge is seeking an operative and focused Dispatcher to join the team. This role is responsible for monitoring and managing all radio traffic before, during, and after the skiing day and will serve as the primary contact person between operations in the field and Revelstoke. The dispatcher will maintain continuous radio and satellite communications with all ski operations and in emergency situations, facilitate ground rescue operations and liaison between staff, rescue personnel, and key stakeholders. The ideal candidate has extensive teamwork skills, is able to make educated decisions, and is able to remain calm in stressful situations. This is a part-time, seasonal position starting at $25 CAD/hour plus tip pool and 4% vacation pay. The Winter season runs December through April.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

 Coordinate with the Experience Team to ensure all guest information (eg. emergency contacts, medical conditions etc) is current and loaded in the Eleven App.
 Remote participation in AM and PM guide meetings as required
 Daily review and proofing of the Run List and Group List. 
 Maintain continuous communication with all pilots and guides in the field.
 Log all communication (sat and radio) in the daily Radio Log
 Ensure helicopters and guides perform mandatory check-ins
 Support the aviation program with timely and relevant air traffic and weather updates
 Use flight following software to maintain constant spatial awareness of helicopters
 Communication with surrounding operations as needed to manage airspace
 Maintain strong familiarity with the ERL Heli Skiing Emergency Response Plan
 Response level protocols
 Staging areas, rescue caches and contents
 Internal and external resources
 Assume the role of Base Coordinator in the event of an incident.
 Document daily runs skied,  zones skied, and skier numbers 
 Coordinate with the lodge and experience team to provide relevant information
 Timing of skier returns, injuries, special requests
 Coordinate with the FBO/Kelowna Airport, Experience Team, and Guide Team to manage guest transfers.
 Perform emergent and non-emergent notifications per protocol
 Participation in annual and ongoing trainings

Qualifications

 Ability to remain calm and perform under stress.
 Exceptional written and verbal communication skills 
 Strong administrative and organizational skills
 Proficiency with Google Workspace applications
 Proficiency with additional web-based applications used for operational support
 CalTopo, Zoleo, Google Earth, WhatsApp, SkyTracker, etc.
