Where: Located 15 minutes North of Merritt on Highway 5A, 40 minutes South of Kamloops.

The popularity of Sagebrush Golf Club has grown quickly, and in 2024 we are introducing the Ranch House Restaurant and a new F & B concept located on a fly-fishing pond nestled within the mountains called The Hideout. Sagebrush Golf Club is looking for an individual to lead our culinary team as we aim for strategic growth rather than aggressive expansion, keeping our focus on quality food and drink, consistency, and impeccable service.

To ensure high standards of freshness, all food including sauces, dressings, and marinades, are prepared on site. Sagebrush Golf Club strives to deliver a consistent dining experience. quality food, service, and atmosphere – every time.
As the Senior Manager, leading the Culinary Team, you will enjoy an energized and dynamic working environment with many opportunities for personal and professional growth. We are looking for an individual with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a full-service restaurant, and an individual that wants to be challenged. The successful candidate must show responsibility, accountability, working knowledge of back of house administration, team development, a high standard of food & beverage knowledge, and financial management (Food & Labour cost).

As Executive Chef, you will consistently provide our guests with an outstanding dining experience, which is achieved by adhering to our standards, recipes, and quality of service.

This person must be able to develop and lead a team of varied cultures and skill sets.
Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum 3 year’s experience in a full-service restaurant.
• Working toward Red Seal certification an asset.
• Up-to-date certification of provincially approved sanitation/food handlers’ programs (i.e. HACCP, HMIS, FOOD SAFE)
• Demonstrates the ability to follow directions and meets deadlines.
• Knowledge of controlling Food/Beverage and labour costs.
• Establish goals for measuring sales, revenue, new projects, and business development
• Maintain effective communication between all employees in regards to restaurant issues and concerns. Communicating the core values and mission of Sagebrush is vital to the achievement of Sagebrush goals.
• Function as a coach in encouraging employees to be successful, including corrective actions when necessary.
• Educate, train, retrain, and develop employees within the restaurant team.
• Lead by example, creating a fun and stable environment; setting a benchmark of performance in the areas of innovation, motivation and animation.
• Directly supervise team; this will include planning, assigning and at times performing activities of workers supervised.
• Accept personal responsibility for decisions and actions.
• Spontaneously recognize and celebrate employee’s success.
• Inspect all areas for cleanliness & compliance in accordance to provincial requirements. Hold team accountable for compliance.
• Lead by example, creating a fun and stable environment; setting a benchmark of performance in the areas of innovation, motivation and animation.
• Must be able to execute budgets on a daily, monthly and annual basis.
• Must be able to understand the P&L statement.
• Must be able to present capital products.
• Responsible for cost of goods, labour, and general expenses of food and beverage operations.
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with strong motivational skills.
The is a Full-Time seasonal role – April to October, with the opportunity to move to year-round in the future. Salary range is $85,000 – $95,000 based on year – round work.
